And now a little on the history of Wonder Woman.
Way to Fly Back in Time 50 Years RyanAir

This article is great and really expresses how a lot of us in the industry feel about not only RyanAir’s ads but advertising in this style in general. Does sex really sell? When is it too much?

An Interesting Conversation With A Kazakhstani
Last night, I was out with some co-workers and we started talking about the gift of flowers. One of our interns, who is from Kazakhstan chimes in and says, “in Kazakhstan, flowers are given to women all the time, no matter what the occasion.” The conversation only got better from there. He then proceeded to tell us about the “norm” in Kazakhstan.
“A woman’s...
A Very Sexist Super Bowl
Like everyone else, I watched the Super Bowl on Sunday. Like everyone else, I was excited to see the commercials. Unlike everyone else, I was annoyed by the sexist ads that showed up almost every other commercial. So, in case you don’t know what I’m talking about — or can’t remember the ads here is a recap.

This little girl has crazy confidence… that’s all I can say. Just watch the video.
You Are Not Crazy...
My friend recently shared an article with me called, “A message to women from a man: You are not crazy” and it was one of the most interesting things I have ever read. The author, Yashar (a man) talks about a term called “gaslighting.”
Gaslighting is a term, often used by mental health professionals (I am not one), to describe manipulative behavior used to confuse people...

Check please!
Tonight I went to the olive garden with my boyfriend. At the end of our meal I paid and when the server came back he put the check book in front of derek. After he left we both started laughing because he assumed the man paid for the meal… And that the man who paid for it was named Corey. What he didn’t know was that this girl was the big spender! It’s little things like that...

It's all who you know...
My dad sat me down and asked me the question that all twenty-somethings dread, where do you see yourself in five years? My response, ugh… I don’t know, proved to be the wrong answer. Shocking!
He proceeded to tell me that one of his client’s had worked in New York City at “some marketing firm” and that I should talk to her. He thought she might have some advice for...

I never thought I would blog about a Coffee...
This past weekend I went home to Rhode Island and saw the most ridiculous commercial for Marylou’s Coffee.
There is no direct link to this commercial. So, click here and scroll down to the very end and watch “low carb” commercial.
The commercial, in a nut shell, is a bunch of high school girls wearing tight pink shirts walking on treadmills talking about low carb...
My mom auditioned to be the host of the Rhode Show. Please watch this video all they way through. Watching it all the way through = a vote for her! Thanks so much for your help and helping my mom get one step closer to her dream!
Bellies of Burlington: Photo Submission #2
This belly belongs to one of my best friends Justine. As you can see, she has a really great scar on her side and with every scar comes a story. Justine had hip replacement surgery last year and is about to have her other replaced next month. Justine loves her scars, they make her who she is. Thanks Justine for sharing!
Rosie the Plumber? Not so much...
The problem: I opened a can and threw it in my sink. The top of that can decided to wedge itself perfectly into the drain of my sink. Disclaimer: I was making a Mexican dish and obviously couldn’t do the dishes… so I apologize for the appearance.
The solution: I decided I would fix it myself. I didn’t need anyone’s help. I thought, I am a big strong girl who can fix...

Negotiating...
As you know I recently sold my Jeep and bought a 2011 Subaru Forester! The entire process was very stressful. This is the biggest purchase I have ever made, the first loan I have ever taken out and the first time I negotiated! Here is what I did:
Compared prices at different dealerships (in- state and out- of- state)
Talked with friends who knew a lot about this...
Bellies of Burlington
I once read an article that informed me of a horrible statistic— about 90% of women think a negative thought about themselves at least once a day. When I read this I thought to myself, what can I do to help women feel better about themselves? What can I do to make a difference? So I started to think. The result – “Bellies of Burlington.” My plan is to obtain photographs of various shaped, sized...
My Body Gallery
I just discovered the most amazing website. It is called mybodygallery.com. The website encourages women to post photos of themselves so others can see what “real women” look like. When you look through the images you start to see how different each and every body is. It makes you realize how silly it is to actually sit and compare yourself to other women. I urge you to take a look or...

MRAZED... Goodbye Dear Friend.
I will be getting a new car this week (stay tuned for a post on my negotiating skills) and am very excited about it. However, I am very sad to say goodbye to my current car — “The Mrazed Mobile.” When I was 16 my dad picked me up from school and brought me to a Jeep dealership. When we pulled in, there was a red Jeep and a blue Jeep parked next to one another. We got out of his...
